Don't Miss Summer Education Week 2010

The third annual ASFMRA Summer Education Week (SEW) is fast approaching.  The meeting will be in St Louis this year, July 12-16, and it is going to be the best SEW yet! One of the challenges for ASFMRA is bridging the gap between online and offline information for meetings, education and issues. Some organizations are choosing to adopt an emerging tool called the mobile barcode, also known as QR Codes or Tag Readers. These codes appear in offline materials such as Annual Reports, Directories, Promotional Materials and much more, allowing interested members and consumers to get additional information online. ASFMRA is already using a QR code in several printed promotional items. Look on the back of your new Membership Directory or the promotional pieces for Summer Education Week or AgroNomics (our next Annual Meeting) and you will find these codes. They are really simple to use. Some smart phones may already have this app, while others require a download from the app store on your phone.
